Get Out ... and Explore the Mendota Heights Area June 10-12

Classic cars, lake discovery and BBQ cooking tips await you this weekend.

1.)

When/Where: 10:00am–5:00pm, Daily beginning Friday, June 10/ 200 Tower Ave, St Paul, MN 55111

Why Go: Travel back in time and see reenactments of Minnesota's role during World War II. The event will feature costumed staff, artifact displays, weapon firing demonstrations, a 1940s-style radio show and authentic vehicles. There will also be hands-on activities like crafts, games and an obstacle course.

Pricing: $10 adults, $8 seniors and college students, $5 children ages 6-17; free for children age 5 and under and MHS members.

When/Where: 10:30 a.m. Saturday, June 11/ , 1315 Mendota Heights Rd, Saint Paul, MN 55120

Why Go: Pick up tips that can make you a master of the coals, wood chips or gas grill. Watch as professional chef instructors demonstrate the finer points of cooking meats, veggies and other BBQ fixings over open fire. Optional tour of the school.

Pricing: Free, but space is limited. Reserve your seat by calling 651-675-4700.

When/Where: 12:00pm–5:00pm, Saturday June 11/ Robert Street between Logan to Thompson, West St Paul, MN

Why Go: Enjoy music and food while exploring local classic cars.

Why Go: Try out the fleet of canoes, kayaks and stand up paddles.

Why Go: Find out about large and small animals living in Minnesota lakes. Ages 6-9.
