I'm a naturally curious person, and that's why I went into journalism---so I could learn about the world and the people around me, and share it with others. As a child, I would write storybooks, and bind them with cardboard and glue. I've known I wanted to be a writer ever since I could hold a pen.
In 2009, I graduated from the University of Minnesota's School of Journalsim and Mass Communication. During college, I was a reporter for The Minnesota Daily. I also completed three reporting internships with the St. Paul Pioneer Press, and a reporting/writing and multimedia fellowship at The Poynter Institute in St. Petersburg, Fla. I am proud to call Fridley my hometown. As a contributor/freelancer for Fridley Patch, I hope to write about news that matters most to readers, news that gives people something to think about, and news that truly illustrates the depth of the Fridley community.
