McDonald's Giving Away Free Backpacks Saturday
This weekend's events include an open house at the Mississippi Valley Montessori School in West St. Paul.
A month before school starts, McDonald's in Mendota Heights and West St. Paul are giving away free backpacks.
Each McDonald's has at least 100 backpacks. They will start giving them away at 8 a.m. on Saturday, Aug. 3, at both locations.
Each child, in kindergarten to eighth grade, will get one backpack, as long as supplies last.
"School-age child must be accompanied by a parent," according to a McDonald's news release.
Also Saturday, Mississippi Valley Montessori School in West St. Paul is hosting an open house starting at 10 a.m.
