Mendota Heights Athletic Trainer Meets Shimon Peres
The MH resident was met the president of Israel when he was in the country for the Maccabiah Jewish games.
A Mendota Heights man met Shimon Peres, president of Israel, when he was serving as an athletic trainer for the Maccabiah Games.
Max Sterenson was a member of the medical staff for the American team, according to Rabbi Morris Allen and Max's mother, Dori Denelle. The Maccabiah Games are similar to the Olympics in that they are held every four years and bring in Jewish competitors from around the world, Allen said.
Sterenson also met Olympian Aly Raisman while he was in Israel. Sterenson posted a picture of himself with the gold medal-winning gymnast on Twitter.
