Two Mendota Heights Residents File for School Board

None of the three incumbents have filed for re-election. The filing period ends on Tuesday, Aug. 13.

Two people have filed for the West St. Paul-Mendota Heights-Eagan School Board.

Dr. Matthew Klein filed on July 30, while Stephanie Levine filed on July 31.

Klein is a hospitalist at Hennepin County Medical Center, according to his campaign website. He served on the Board of Directors of Dean Medical Systems from 2007 to 2009.

Levine has been involved in efforts to pass school levies and has served as a volunteer and board member with the PTA.

There are three four-year school board positions up for election this year. They currently are held by Pat BarnumDewayne Dill and David Koziol. They have not filed for re-election as of Monday.

All filings are due by 5 p.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 13. You can pick up candidate information at the district office.

If you are interested in filing for one of the open positions, there you can attend a meeting at 5 p.m. today, Aug. 6, in room A241 at Henry Sibley High School.
