New St. Thomas Academy Facility Named after Late Author Vince Flynn

A new arts and activities center on the Mendota Heights campus will bear the name of the STA grad and trustee.

Vince Flynn, over his last decade of life, left his mark on the halls of St. Thomas Academy.

The best-selling author became an upstanding STA alumnus, serving as a trustee and vocal supporter for the school in Mendota Heights.

Flynn died this summer from complications due to prostate cancer. He was just 47 years old

The campus and school has decided to honor Flynn by naming a newly planned activity and arts center after the creator of the Mitch Rapp series. The Vincent J. Flynn Hall will offer nearly 100,000 square feet of space for Cadet fans of both sports and the arts.

The center is in its planning stages, courtesy of Opus Design. It will be dedicated shortly after 2 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 4, at an Alumni Reunion Weekend.
