Lois Owen, Neighbor

In 2009 I moved to Lilydale from Rochester, MN where I had lived for 30 years working and raising a family. My two daughters are going to school at the Univ. of St. Thomas in St. Paul, so I now have time for myself.  My significant other and I bought a condo  in the Lexington Riverside Building, remodeled it and moved in 2 years ago.  I have always liked exploring so I saw the move as a great opportunity to learn about new places. I bought a book called Walking Twin Cities which includes walking tours of Minneapolis and St. Paul. This was a good way to begin learning about the area. So far I have taken about half the walks outlined in the book. I also am employed part-time at Lilydale City Hall which helps me become involved in the community, learn better what's going on, and hopefully, contribute something back.
