Published reports say police released no new information about the incident on Saturday. The deceased man had yet to be identified. According to the Star Tribune and Pioneer Press, police found the man wounded in the driveway of a home in the 900 block of Ohio Street at about 8 p.m. Friday. The man was transported to Regions Hospital in St. Paul, where he died. This is the first homicide in West St. Paul since 2004, West St. Police Police Chief Bud Shaver told the Pioneer Press. The Star-Tribune and Pioneer Press were reporting Friday night that officers found a man with a gunshot wound in a driveway in the 900 block of Ohio Street at about 8 p.m. Friday. The man later was declared deceased at Regions Hospital in St. Paul, according to both publications. No one was in custody late Friday night.

Darnell Louis Frazier has been charged with felony possession of a controlled substance, as well as three misdemeanor traffic crimes, as result of the traffic stop. According to a Dakota County criminal complaint released last week: Frazier was pulled over in West St. Paul on April 21 for allegedly driving after suspension. On Monday night, Jennifer Marie Vanwagner of West St. Paul was being boarded on $30,000 bail in the Ramsey County Jail. Vanwagner—also known as Jennifer Marie Hultman—was charged in Dakota County on Dec. 7 with one count of felony failure to registered as a predatory offender.
