Mendota Heights Patch Week in Review Feb. 13-19

Catch up on the highlights of this week's news from the Mendota Heights area.

In last week's notable  news, the city of Lilydale pressed charges against the owner of Moose Country on Wednesday, alleging that liquor had been served after hours Christmas night, when a large skirmish broke out after bar close. The Mendota Heights City Council selected seven new appointees for the city's advisory commissions Wednesday night. Patch interviewed the creators of Winch Fest, a unique snowboarding event in the Rogers Lake neighborhood for Thursday's readers. Friday, Tom Egan reported that a county commission recommended Mendota to receive $20,000 in community development block grants. In school news, Henry Sibley High School Spanish students hosted 11 students from Guadalajara, Mexico, introducing them to the Minnesota winter…
