The Twin Cities housing market rebound continues to roll along and Mendota Heights is following suit. In April, there were 11 completed home sales in Mendota Heights, down from 16 or 31.3 percent from the same period a year ago. But the median sales price rose a robust 77.1 percent, from $159,500 a year ago to $282,500 last month, according to the latest data from the Minneapolis Area Association of Realtors.   The following is a list of recent home sales in Mendota Heights. Mendota Heights' Housing Market Shows Continued Improvement

The Minneapolis Area Association of Realtors’ Local Market Update for Mendota Heights shows increases in key areas.

Numbers released by the Minneapolis Area Association of Realtors on Wednesday showed signed of a continued recovery in Inver Grove’s house-selling market in November. While the median sales price last month was down 24 percent compared to November 2012, figures for Inver Grove's closed sales and average sales price were positive. Taking a glance at the MAAR’s Local Market Update for November 2012: CLOSED SALES: Mendota Heights recorded 18 closed sales last month, 500 percent more than than the three sales in November 2011. …

Mendota Heights Homes Sold Faster in 2011

Other data show little improvement since 2009, but few freefalls.

Buyers are snapping up homes in Mendota Heights faster than they have since spring of 2009, according to data from the Minneapolis Area Association of Realtors.  The average days on market for homes sold dropped to 139 days in December. The highest average number of days on market for 2011 reached 177 in July. That’s still an improvement compared to 2010’s numbers, when the low was 178 and the high was 201 days. In many other indicators, the market has not improved significantly since 2009—but it hasn’t worsened either. “At least we’re seeing it skip along the bottom whether it’s up or down,” said local real estate agent and Sunfish Lake resident Dick Braun. “It’s not consistent but at least it’s not in a freefall like we were.” The median…

First Quarter 2011 Home Sales in Mendota Heights: Prices Down, Days on Market Improved

Sellers are receiving slightly higher average percentage of listing price.

The real estate market in Mendota Heights is off to a shaky start for 2011. The median price of a home sold in Mendota Heights dropped 17.5 percent to $260,000 compared to the first quarter 2010 median price of $315,000. In the Twin Cities, the median sales price for a home—the price at which half the homes cost more, and half cost less, as opposed to the average price—dropped 12 percent, from $162,000 in the first quarter of 2010 to $143,000 in 2011. The local data was released Wednesday by the Minneapolis Area Association of Realtors (MAAR).
