Minute with the Mayor: Boehm's Brings Winter-Proof Bike to St. Paul Carnival

Mendota Heights Patch sits down with the mayors of Mendota Heights, Mendota and Lilydale for regular city updates—all in about a minute.

This balmy winter has allowed for only a few weeks of quality outdoor skating in Mendota Heights, prompting Mayor Sandra Krebsbach to turn her attention to a local cycling shop for inspiration. Tom Wichelmann, general manager of Boehm's, located off of Highway 110 and Lexington, said the Boehm's location in Mendota Heights opened in 2004, and in addition to athletic equipment sales, they also clean athletic gear. This year at the Winter Carnival, Boehm's is showcasing a new bicycle with extra fat tires, which Wichelmann said are ideal for riding through snow and ice on a mild winter day.
