The driver smelled of alcohol and admitted to drinking. A preliminary breath test measured a blood alcohol concentration of .12. April 22 A heavily damaged vehicle was found in the police department’s parking lot shortly before 3 a.m. An intoxicated man inside the vehicle said the driver had ran away. March 21 A resident received a scam call claiming he had won a cash prize, but would need to wire transfer some money to receive it. The resident knew it was phony and argued with the scammer, but then the scammer threatened to shoot him. March 20 A resident reported that her social security number was used to open cell phone accounts in Wisconsin and Illinois. The accounts were cancelled with no loss to the victim. A driver stopped on Highway 13 didn't have a license or insurance but did have plenty of booze in his system.
