Convent of the Visitation School was founded by the Order of the Visitation Sisters of Holy Mary in St. Paul in 1873.More The monastery and the school moved to Mendota Heights in 1965. The all-female Middle and Upper schools provide a college-prep education to girls in grades 7-12. The co-ed Lower School educates students in kindergarten - grade 6. A Montessori pre-school and a child care center for younger children also operate on-site. Visitation is the primary feeder school for boys enrolling at St. Thomas Academy.

The West St. Paul-Mendota Heights-Eagan Independent School District 197 serves these communities as well as SunfishMore Lake, Lilydale and Mendota. Five elementary schools, two middle schools and one high school take on the education of children in the district. Scholars have access to magnet programs and unique pilot initiatives within the district designed to improve performance as well as create a positive, safe learning environment. The District superintendent is Jay Haugen.

All District 197 students arrive at the doors of Henry Sibley High School for their high school education. The schoolMore has been open since 1954, and its current facilities were built in 1971. The school offers a comprehensive selection of classes including electives, languages and Advanced Placement opportunities. Technology such as SMARTboards, LCD projectors and laptop carts are available in classrooms. 

The Henry Sibley "Warriors" logo was redesigned in 2009 and features a knight. The Warriors compete in the Classic Suburban Conference.

Saint Thomas Academy

St. Thomas Academy is a private, Catholic, military day academy attended by boys from throughout the metro area. TheMore school emphasizes its college-preparatory curriculum as well as its leadership-oriented JROTC program. The school became an independent institution and moved to its current location next to Rogers Lake in 1965. STA's sister school, Convent of the Visitation, resides next door. The school was originally founded in Saint Paul as a seminary in 1885 by Bishop John Ireland. The "Cadets" compete as part of the Classic Suburban Conference.
Children's Country Day School

The Children's Country Day School focuses on developing the whole child while introducing them to the natural world.More Marking 40 years in the community in 2010, the school has expanded to its seven-acre site over the years and added a variety of programs and tools including Level 1 Montessori materials. Nearly all faculty members are accredited with four-year degrees in various education fields. The school expands in the summer to include programs including swimming and horseback riding.
