Church of St. Peter Historic Cemetery
651-452-4550
This is the cemetery of the Church of St. Peter in Mendota, located south of the church across Highway 13.
Technically, both locations are now in Mendota Heights.
The church is the oldest continuously used church in Minnesota, according to church history, and served the fur traders that settled the area and contributed to the founding of the state.
The first recorded burial in the cemetery was in 1940, though there were likely burials before that.
Visitors can find historic markers alongside current generations of families from the area buried here.
