Make a Difference, One Country Song at a Time

Nonprofit Kids 'n Kinship has mentoring opportunities available in the south metro.

Almost 50 south metro kids are waiting for an adult mentor through nonprofit Kids 'n Kinship. Mendota Heights-area adults are invited to consider becoming a mentor in the lives of these children.  

 First name: Patty 

Age: 13

Interests: Patty likes sports specifically tennis, softball and soccer.  She also likes crafts, music (country) and photography. 

Personality/Characteristics: She struggles with grades and homework. Her single parent mom is looking for a mentor Patty can look up to and trust and who can give her daughter the opportunity for activities.

Goals/Dreams: Patty is in 7th grade. She would like a mentor to hang out with, go out to eat and watch scary movies! 

Looking For: An individual or couple mentor to look up to and have fun with.

For More Information: Patty is one of almost 50 children waiting for a mentor through Kids ‘n Kinship, a private nonprofit serving Apple Valley, Burnsville, Eagan, Farmington, Lakeville and Rosemount in Dakota County for 40 years. If you're interested in becoming a mentor, you're invited to attend an information session from 6:00 to 6:45 p.m. Monday April 16 at the Burnhaven Library in Burnsville. Mentors can volunteer as individuals, couples, or families for weekly fun and enriching activities at home or in the community on their own schedules.
