What's Open and What's Closed on Labor Day 2013

It's the last official weekend of summer, so plan accordingly.

Mendota Heights city offices; Northern Dakota County Service Center and all Dakota County libraries, including Wentworth Library in West St. Paul.

The United States Post Office is closed in observation of Labor Day, so there is no mail delivery.

Most banks will be closed, so call ahead if you plan to visit one.

What's Open        

All local major retailers and supermarkets will be open on Labor Day including Cub Foods, Walgreens, Rainbow Foods, Super Target, Walmart, Lowe's, Menards and Home Depot.

Last Chance...

Schulze Lake Beach at Lebanon Hills Regional Park in Eagan will be open for the last day of the season on Labor Day from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.

Labor Day is the last day of the Minnesota State Fair.  It's Kids Day, so admission for kids ages 5-12 is $7. The Fair closes at 10 p.m. on Monday. Note that the animal barns close at 3 p.m. on the last day.

First day of school for all public schools in the West St. Paul-Mendota Heights-Eagan School District is Tuesday, Sept. 3.
