Visitation Volleyball Season Ends at State Tournament

The Blazers finished the state tournament with an 0-2 record.

The volleyball team’s season ended Friday at the Class AA state tournament when the Blazers fell 3-2 to Esko at the Xcel Energy Center.

It was the second consecutive day the Blazers fell in five sets—in the quarterfinals, Visitation lost 3-2 to defending champion Wadena-Deer Creek.

Friday’s match finished in 25-19, 23-25, 25-23, 20-25, 15-9 fashion.

Samantha Dumler finished with 16 kills on the night to lead the team, while teammate Anne Debertin finished with 15 kills.

The Blazers finish the season with a 26-8 record. Esko advanced to face Sauk Centre for the consolation championship on Saturday.
