Visitation Volleyball Easily Beats Breck
The Blazers dominated the Mustangs all night for a three-game sweep.
volleyball could do almost no wrong Tuesday night, beating Breck 25-7, 25-13, 25-8.
Thanks to numerous aces on serve, passing for easy kills and digging out returns, the Blazers (9-3, 3-0 Tri-Metro Conference) were never threatened.
“We’re coming around; we’re trending in the right direction,” said coach Joseph Zimmermann. “Kayla (Adducci), the setter, is doing a really nice job with our offense. Our two middles (Mary Mullen and Elsa Ayotte) are sophomores this year; they’re a year older and they’re doing a fabulous job.”

The team, which lost its first two matches of the season, is playing with more confidence, even without senior libero Katie Supplee, who is out with a knee injury, but is expected back soon.
“Sarah Leach has stepped in and done a really nice job,” Zimmermann said.

That shows the depth of a Blazers team that can go 10-12 players deep and not lose anything on the court.
Against Breck (2-6, 2-3 Tri-Metro Conference), the Blazers went up 8-3 in the first game and never took their collective foot off the gas. They led 7-1 in game two.
"Everyone played. Everyone contributed in a positive manner,” Zimmermann said. “We’ve been working hard on our defense and tonight it showed. We had a lot of good ups and the kids were playing hard. … Our defense is catching up to our offense. Coming into this year, I thought defense was going to be our strength.”
Visitation next plays Thursday at St. Anthony Village. They are at Concordia Academy-Roseville Monday and home Tuesday against Blake.
