Edina baseball standout Dan Baer will be heading to Princeton in the fall, the Star Tribune reported Sunday.
Baer started three years at St. Thomas Academy and helped the Edina American Legion team win last year’s state championship. The University of Minnesota and Princeton both recruited Baer heavily. Baer said he chose Princeton, his father’s alma mater, because of the academics.
Baer will be playing for the Edina American Legion team this summer before heading to Princeton. He’ll also be working to bulk up his 6-foot-4, 190-pound frame so that he can become a power hitter for the Tigers.
