The athletic directors of the Classic Suburban Conference voted earlier this month to remove St. Thomas Academy athletics beginning with the 2014-2015 school year, according to a Pioneer Press article by Tim Leighton.

St. Thomas Academy is an all-boys military school with an enrollment of 1,066, according to the Minnesota State High School League. The school's enrollment is doubled for placement in competitive sections. The Cadets are often maligned for their sports dominance, especially in football and hockey.
