Henry Sibley Softball: Warriors Win Regular-Season Finale

The Henry Sibley softball team topped Mahtomedi 8-1 in its regular season finale on May 18 after losing 11-2 to North St. Paul on May 16. The Warriors will enter the Section 4AAA Tournament with a 5-14 overall record while finishing 2-12 in the Classic Suburban Conference.

Individual statistics were not available. The Warriors are scheduled to begin the sectional playoffs against Mahtomedi on Monday at Mahtomedi.

With three-straight losses last week, the Henry Sibley baseball team fell to 3-16 overall and 1-15 in the Classic Suburban.

The Warriors lost to Hill-Murray (2-1), Richfield (6-3) and Cretin-Derham Hall (5-3) on May 16, 18 and 19, respectively. Individual statistics were not available. 

Sibley hosts St. Paul Central in the regular-season finale on Monday at 3:45 p.m.

Dylan Fangel and Austin Shepard both claimed first-place finishes of four-over-par 40 to lead the Henry Sibley boys golf team to a victorious score of 167 in a Classic Suburban triangular meet at Manitou Ridge Golf Course on May 16.

Henry Sibley vs. St. Thomas Academy Boys Tennis: Cadets Eliminate Warriors In 3AA Playoffs

The fourth-seeded St. Thomas Academy boys tennis team defeated No. 5 seed Henry Sibley, 4-3, on May 19 to eliminate the Warriors in the quarterfinals of the Section 3AA Tournament.

STA is scheduled to play No. 1 seed Eastview on Monday in the semifinals.

St. Thomas Academy Lacrosse: Cadets Enter Section 5 Playoffs This Week

After concluding a 7-6 regular season, the St. Thomas Academy boys lacrosse team earned a No. 10 seed in the Section 5 Tournament and begins postseason play at seventh-seeded Bloomington Jefferson on Wednesday night.

The Cadets closed out the regular season with a 13-8 defeat of Bloomington Kennedy on May 16 and a 13-0 win at Simley on May 17.

Will Dahl leads STA with 53 points this spring, with Ethan Rasmussen scoring 39 points and Josh Albrecht 38 points in the regular season.

St. Thomas Academy Baseball: Cadets Clinch Second Place In Classic Suburban

A five-game winning streak clinched a runner-up finish in the Classic Suburban for the St. Thomas baseball team as the Cadets wrap up the regular season on Monday.

Last week, the Cadets topped Richfield (8-7) on May 16, Cretin-Derham Hall (4-2) on May 17, South St. Paul (6-5) May 18 and North St. Paul (9-4) May 19 to enter this week with a 14-5 overall record and a 12-4 conference mark. Individual statistics were not available.

St. Thomas Academy Boys Golf: Cadets Third At Dellwood Hills

With a card of 171, the St. Thomas boys golf team finished third in a Classic Suburban triangular meet against Mahtomedi and Tartan on May 19. Individual statistics were not available.

Visitation Softball: Blazers Win First Two Playoff Games

The third-seeded Visitation softball team won the first two games of its Section 4AA Tournament run by defeating St. Paul Highland Park 14-1 on May 18 and Concordia Academy-Roseville 11-4 on May 20.

Individual statistics were not available. The Blazers are scheduled to take on No. 2 seed St. Paul Johnson on Wednesday afternoon.

Visitation/St. Paul Academy Girls Lacrosse: Blazers Enter Sectional Playoffs

After going 1-2 in its final week of regular-season play, the Visitation/St. Paul Academy girls lacrosse team is set to begin the Section 5 Tournament at St. Louis Park on Wednesday night. The Blazers lost to Minneapolis (12-7) on May 17, defeated Rochester Century (13-8) May 18 and fell (14-7) to Columbia Heights May 19.

Visitation/SPA, the No. 10 sectional seed, plays the No. 7 Orioles at 7 p.m. Wednedsay.
