Mendota Runner Finishes Twin Cities Marathon

The 2013 marathon took place in Minneapolis and St. Paul.

Overall, 8,849 runners finished the 26.2 mile 2013 Medtronic Twin Cities Marathon Sunday, Oct. 6 – including one Mendota man.

Mendota resident Dale Eberhardt, 60, ran and finished the Twin Cities Marathon with a time of 5:19:51.

He placed 7,984 out of 8,849 runners and placed at 115 in his age group.

Arizona resident Nick Arciniaga won the 2013 Twin Cities Marathon men’s race with a time of 2:13:11, according to a StarTribune.com report. Former Minnesota resident Annie Bersagel won the woman’s title with a time of 2:30:52.

The race began near Mall of America Field in Minneapolis and finished at the Minnesota State Capitol in St. Paul.
