Henry Sibley Third, St. Thomas Academy Fifth in Boys Conference JV Track and Field Meet

Classic Suburban Conference meet is lead by North St. Paul.

Henry Sibley High School finished third and St. Thomas Academy fifth in the 2011 Classic Suburban Conference boys junior varsity meet Thursday at Richfield.

North St. Paul won the meet with 267 points. Tartan was second with 170.5, followed by Henry Sibley (87), South St. Paul (82), St. Thomas Academy (73.5), Richfield (53.5), Hill-Murray (35.5), Mahtomedi (25) and Simley (6).

Christian Baago and Dalton Winspear led Sibley with first-place finishes. Baago was first in the 1,600-meter run, winning in 5:00.82. Winspear won the pole vault with a best of 9-0 feet. Sibley's 4x400 relay team was third in 3:52.44.

Gus Horner of STA was second in the 300-meter hurdles in 45.81 and Jack Ryan was second in the 3,200-meter run (11:29.47). Sam O'Brien was second in the shot put at 36-9. Andrew Griffith (99-3) and Will Mark (98-11) were second and third, respectively, in the discus.

STA's 4x800-meter relay team was second in 9:20.01.
