Henry Sibley Defeats Hastings in Football Quarterfinals
St. Thomas Academy defeated Simley by 30 points in another Tuesday night quarterfinals game.
Henry Sibley defeated Hastings Tuesday night to advance in the section 5AAAAA football tournament.
Sibley won the game 28-21, scoring in the last few minutes of the game, according to the St. Paul Pioneer Press.
"To win tonight, it was like magic," senior receiver Kenneth Jinkins told the paper.
Sibley will next play St. Paul Central in an away game on Saturday, Oct. 26. The game starts at 2 p.m.
Also on Tuesday night, St. Thomas Academy defeated Simley 54-24 in the section 5AAAAA football quarterfinals. Next St. Thomas Academy will play Tartan High School in an away game on Saturday, Oct. 26. The game will start at 7 p.m.
