Mendota Heights Parks and Recreation Summer Playgrounds Program

Summer Playgrounds 2012

Program is held at Mendakota Park (rainy-day back up at the MH Fire Hall).  Each day please bring backpack with: sunscreen, bug spray, water bottle, daily snack, hat, change of clothes and a towel.

A note will go home the first day each week with that week’s schedule & other items kids may need to bring.

Program held on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday (Thursdays are reserved for youth field trips)

Morning Sessions: ages 4-7 years  Sorry morning sessions are full. Afternoon Sessions: ages 7-10 years, 12:30 to 4:00p.m., Cost $48.00

Week Three -Nature/Fishing Week, June 25, 26, 27, 29

Time to get back to nature! Learn about MN Fish & their habitat.  MinnAqua program introduced both sessions.  Fishing day at Rogers Lake.

Week Four -Pirate’s Bounty, July 9, 10, 11, 13

Sail away with our crew and discover a bounty full of fun.  Pirate games, crafts and a treasure hunt using a GPS, maps and compass.

Week Five-Water Works, July 16, 17, 18, 20

This week is packed full of water and it’s time to get wet!  Bring your swimsuit each day.  We will have buckets of water fun, crafts & games!

Week Six-Playgrounds Funtastic Favorites, July 23, 24, 25, 27

On the final week of playgrounds the staff will take the most popular games and your favorite activities from all the previous weeks and combine them into one Funtastic week.  We promise you more fun than a barrel of monkeys!  Special craft project too!
