Viewfinder: Science Goes Up In Smoke, Fire and Ice

Henry Sibley High School Chemistry and Physics Demo Team puts on a science show at 3M headquarters.

The Chemistry and Physics Demo Team pitted chemistry against physics Saturday and both came out winners.

Giving the keynote presentation at 3M's Super Science Saturday at the 3M headquarters in Maplewood, the Sibley science team staged a friendly battle to convince an audience that whether you preferred physics or chemistry, both were pretty cool.

The group's presentation was titled, "Which is Cooler, Chemistry or Physics?" and featured a dozen demonstrations of science made fun.

"I think our students were impressive," said Peter Bohacek, a physical science teacher at Sibley and a demo team advisor. "I had many 3M'ers comment after the show how good they were."

The event was sponsored by 3M and featured an open house of exhibitors in additional to the presentation by the Sibley science team.
