A class of Mendota Heights second-graders got the chance to watch as Gov. Mark Dayton signed Chapter 24 and Chapter 25 into law.

A class of Mendota Heights second-graders got the chance to watch as Gov. Mark Dayton signed Chapter 24 and Chapter 25 into law in the Governor's Reception Room last week.

According to the governor's official website:

  • Chapter 24, House File 369: Relating to community property; adopting the Uniform Community Property Rights at Death Act. This bill passed with broad bipartisan support.
  • Chapter 25, Senate File 953: Relating to health; modifying a social work licensure provision. This bill passed the State House and Senate unanimously.
