Brief: Henry Sibley AP Teachers, Students Recognized

Principal Robin Percival recognized a number of Advanced Placement teachers and students Nov. 7 in front of the school board.

Principal Robin Percival recognized five Advanced Placement class teachers Nov. 7 at the District 197 School Board meeting along with a few of the school’s AP Scholars for their achievement in the program.

At Henry Sibley, 222 students took 331 AP exams last spring in 14 subjects, according to Percival.

The achievement of the students is a reflection of the quality of teachers and the classes, she said.

Teachers recognized:

  • Corey Prondzinski, AP statistics teacher—30 of 32 students passed the AP exam with a score of 3 or higher
  • Peter Bohacek, AP physics teacher—26 of 29 students physics passed the AP exam with a score of 3 or higher
  • Eric Kluznik, AP calculus teacher—35 out of 35 students passed the AP exam with a score of 3 or higher
  • Jennifer Nippert and Jill Roushar, AP biology teachers—50 out of 52 students passed the AP exam with a score of 3 or higher

Percival also recognized the by the program. A few students were present to shake the hands of the board. Their parents were also asked to stand for recognition.
