Haugen Is Last Man Standing in Farmington Superintendent Search

Farmington's school board plans to continue with Tuesday's second interview.

District 197 Superintendent Jay Haugen is the last candidate standing in the Farmington Area Schools superindent search, according to a report from the Star Tribune.

The other finalist, St. Anthony-New Brighton Superintendent Rod Thompson, withdrew on Friday. Thompson is also interviewing in Shakopee and was chosen as a finalist in that district before withdrawing.

Haugen that Farmington’s school district is positioned for growth, and poses a good opportunity.

Farmington’s search consultant, Ken LaCroix, recommended that the board continue with the interview schedule, according to the report, meaning Haugen will still undergo his second interview on Tuesday.
