Haugen, who has been in District 197 since 2006, was intensely recruited by Farmington’s search consultant, Ken LaCroix, who Haugen said is a person he greatly trusts and admires. Haugen emerged as the lone finalist after his only competitor last Friday.

Haugen told that Farmington’s School District is poised for growth, and offers a promising opportunity for him.
