District 197 (West St. Paul-Mendota Heights-Eagan) has also canceled school on Tuesday, Jan. 28 All before and after school activities, community education programs, school-age care and early childhood family education classes are canceled as well.
Tuesday will be the fifth day students will be out of school. The district will add make-up days to the school calendar and will communicate those days when the school board approves them, according to the message on the district website.
Community education programs are also canceled. The district has asked families to contact coaches and advisors for information about team clubs and meetings. There will be no bus transportation on Tuesday.
We know the extraordinary number of closings this month have been a disruption to daily schedules and a burden for working parents, but the actions have been taken with the safety of all students at the forefront.
