The following is a press release from U.S. Bank.

A local high school student will be advancing to the finals of a national competition that celebrates financial education. U.S. Bank announced today that Lewie Kloster was selected as winner of the U.S. Bank Preliminary Round of the American Banking Association (ABA) Education Foundation’s “Lights, Camera, Save!” contest.

As winner of the preliminary round, Kloster will receive a $1,500 check from U.S. Bank, and will continue as a national finalist in the ABA’s contest. The check presentation will take place at 4 p.m on Wednesday, February 6, at U.S. Bank’s Southdale branch located at 7001 France Ave. South in Edina, Minn.

“U.S. Bank is proud to be a part of the ‘Lights, Camera, Save!’ contest,” said Christine Hobrough, region manager for U.S. Bank Consumer and Small Business Banking in the Twin Cities. “Lewie took a fun, engaging approach to demonstrate the power of saving money and financial responsibility at a young age.”

Kloster, a senior at Saint Thomas Academy in Mendota Heights, starred in the 90-second video along with his younger brother, Noah.
