“We need leaders like Paul in the state legislature who will be committed to reducing the size and scope of government and empowering workers and job creators,” Kline said Tuesday.

Paul Tuschy, candidate for Minnesota House District 52B, was endorsed Tuesday by U.S. Rep. John Kline, who has represented the Second Congressional District of Minnesota since 2003.

“We need leaders like Paul in the state legislature who will be committed to reducing the size and scope of government and empowering workers and job creators,” Kline said Tuesday.

“Congressman Kline understands that government needs to get out of the way of the job creators and the free market,” said Tuschy. “A state legislature which believes it can tax any event and regulate any activity threatens economic growth. As state representative of House District 52B, I will work to improve Minnesota’s business climate.”

In a Nov. 3, 2011, Star Tribune op-ed Kline wrote, “We can all agree that reasonable regulations protect our children and the environment. But far too many excessive regulations unnecessarily increase costs for consumers and small businesses, making it harder for the private sector to create jobs.”

Tuschy has publicly criticized his DFL incumbent opponent over his obstructionist vote against HF1 in 2011, which Gov. Dayton had stated would ensure  government agencies were "moving at the speed of commerce" by accelerating and simplifying their environmental review and permitting processes.

“Congressman Kline understands just how important it is to remove government from the backs of our job creators,” Tuschy said. “With each vote I place, I intend to restrain this out-of-control government and allow entrepreneurs to continue creating jobs for Minnesotans.”
