Minute with the Mayor: Mendota Heights City Clean-Up Continues

Residents and city staff continue to assess Tuesday's damage and plan for removal of tree debris.

It's been a busy week for Public Works Supervisor Tom Olund and his crews. Tuesday's early morning storms caused and property in the northeast corner of the city.

Now, residents and staff are dealing with all the fallen trees and branches.

Olund said so many established trees were uprooted because of the extremely rain-saturated soil.

Tree waste is being collected at , and crews are surveying how big of a job they have in front of them. They will begin again to go through the city next Tuesday to remove tree debris brought to the curb.

Olund said that residents are not to bring tree material to the curb that was not damaged in the storm.
