Minute with the Mayor: Grant Reduction in Mendota
In a new video series, Mendota Heights Patch will sit down with the mayors of Mendota Heights, Mendota and Lilydale for regular city updates— all in about a minute.
The city of Mendota was recently awarded a of $20,000 through Dakota County to add to a pot of about $29,000 in CDBG funds collected over past years when the program was not competitive.
However, that money is funded through the federal government, which recently approved a cut to the program.
Mayor Brian Mielke explains how that, and a reduction in state Local Government Aid, means residents need to pitch in.
