"“I know it’s the law, but I’m entitled to feel the way I do" about same-sex marriage becoming the law of the land in Minnesota, a Mendota Heights woman told the Star Tribune last week.

Nancy Stanton is one of several MH residents interviewed for the story who are members of the Church of St. Peter in Mendota.

Elections have consequences. Opponents of marriage equality are entitled to their opinions, but marriage equality is now the law in Minnesota. And please refer to it as "marriage equality" instead of same-sex marriage. All marriages in Minnesota are equal.

It breaks my heart that so many people cannot seem to understand that two people in love is the same regardless of their gender. In the eyes of the law, religion should play no part in deciding a citizen's rights. I am so proud of Minnesota and feel lucky to live in this great state. I went to watch the first wedding happen last week and it was wonderful!

Mr. Tom Marver- You are incorrect. Better terms to use than "marriage equality" or "same-sex marriage" are: "sham marriages and "farce marriages." The vast majority of Minnesotans correctly view homosexual "marriages" as an abomination. The farce of homosexual marriage is claimed in only a few outlier, left-wing states, such as Minnesota and Vermont. This sham will soon be outlawed. Sodomy is unnatural! And children who live in a house with homosexual residents are, according to the American Pediatric Association, at an 87% greater risk of behavioral problems. NO to homosexual marriage. It should be a crime!

I couldn't have said it any more truthfully or eloquently Mike B.
