Mendota Heights Precincts, Polling Places Updated
The city council approved updated precincts Tuesday night.
Where you vote in Mendota Heights could change under new precinct boundaries and polling locations.
The Mendota Heights City Council approved changes to the city's five precincts at their meeting Tuesday.
As a result of , legislative and congressional boundaries in the state were redrawn by a Supreme Court subcommittee and released in February.

into two House districts along Highway 110, incorporating the neighborhood immediately southeast of Lexington and Highway 110 with the northern district. The city is still represented by one Senate district.
A number of criteria, including the new legislative districts, school district boundaries, past voter turnout and identifiable physical features such as roads or a river are used when considering the boundaries. Boundaries may not cross municipal, legislative or congressional boundaries.

Previously, the city's southwest precinct had incorporated residents north of Highway 110.
Also changing are two of the precinct locations. and are no longer polling locations. Instead, and will be the go-to spots for precincts 2 and 4, respectively.
Primaries Aug. 14 will be the first chance to vote under new precinct boundaries.
Precinct 1: Somerset Elementary
Start at Annapolis Street and Delaware Avenue, go south along Delaware, west along Wentworth, north along Wachtler Avenue, northeast along Sibley Memorial Highway, east along Annapolis.
Precinct 2: Henry Sibley High School
Start at Highway 13 and Wachtler Avenue, go south along Wachtler, east along Wentworth, south along Delaware Avenue, west along Highway 110, north along Interstate 35E, northeast along Highway 13.
Precinct 3: Mendota Elementary
Start at Highway 13 and Interstate 35E, go south along Interstate 35E, west along Wagon Wheel Trail, north along Lexington, west along Highway 110, follow the western boundaries around Mendota and Lilydale (not exact on interactive map) and north on Highway 13.
Precinct 4: St. Thomas Academy
Start at Highway 110 and Lexington, go south along Lexington, east along Wagon Wheel Trail, north along Interstate 35E, east along Highway 110, south along Delaware, southwest along Huber Drive, west along Decorah Lane, south along Dodd Road, west along Interstate 494, north along the Minnesota River, east along Highway 55, east along Highway 110.
Precinct 5: Friendly Hills Middle School
Start at Delaware Avenue and Huber Drive, go south along Deaware Avenue, west along Interstate 494, north along Dodd Road, east along Decorah Lane, northeast along Huber Drive.
