Senate Debates Vikings Stadium Bill

Mendota Heights senator has said he will support the bill.

The Minnesota Senate is scheduled to debate the Vikings bill Tuesday, fewer than 24 hours after the bill passed in the House of Representatives. 

The Senate is scheduled to start session at 10 a.m.

Sen. Jim Metzen (D-South St. Paul), who represents the Mendota Heights area, has said he wants to see the bill passed, and has predicted the Senate has enough votes for passage.

The bill would have to be passed as-is in the Senate to be sent directly to Gov. Mark Dayton, otherwise a conference committee would be its next destination.
