How much money have local candidates raised? Patch has the documents.

Election season is nearly done and Mendota Heights's legislative candidates have released their finance reports that were due no later than Oct. 29 to the state's Campaign Finance and Public Disclosure Board. The reports are available at their website.

According to the campaign finance reports, some candidates have raised thousands of dollars during the election cycle. In addition, election day isn't until Tuesday, Nov. 6, and some candidates still have sizable amounts of cash on hand.

Here's a look at the totals through Oct. 29 as reported by state senate and house candidates (the PDFs for each candidate are available by clicking the images along the right side of this article):

Special notes:

  • Not all reports are equal and some candidates have more detailed reports than others. In some cases, money spent over the period is more than the amount raised, meaning the candidate had money from previous reporting cycles. Candidates need only report donations of more than $100. Reporting times vary.
  • Money Raised: includes in-kind donations as well as cash.
  • Individual Cash: money raised from residents of more than $100.
  • PAC/Outside Cash: money raised by donations from outside groups, such as Super PACs, lobbyists or unions, of more than $100.
