Mendota Heights Puts Halloween Bonfire on Hold After Dry Weather

The city will decide whether to proceed with the bonfire by Oct. 25.

The Halloween bonfire at Mendota Plaza has been stayed and the collection of burnable brush by residents put on hold due to dry weather conditions, according to a release put out by the city of Mendota Heights.

The city will decide by Oct. 25 whether to proceed with the Halloween bonfire.

There's currently a county-wide ban on outdoor fires, including recreation fires, due to the dry weather conditions, KSTP is reporting.
