A resident reported that their name and Social Security number were used to open a cable TV account in Dallas, TX.

Police stopped a driver for a misdemeanor warrant. The driver had marijuana sitting in his lap and was cited accordingly.

An intoxicated male in the Mendota Plaza parking lot caught the attention of an officer, then again when he was seen driving away in a car with expired tabs. A preliminary breath test measured a blood alcohol level of .244.

A driver hit a deer on Dodd Road. The deer was last spotted walking away from the scene of the accident.

Sept. 8

A car was spotted parked at Wentworth Park after hours. An officer found the car full of friends spending time together before going off to college. The officer also smelled alcohol, and preliminary breath tests resulted in underage drinking citations.

Sept. 7

A drunk driver was reported at the Holiday gas station in Lilydale. When police arrived, the driver was inside the store, acting very intoxicated. The alleged driver was taken to Detox, and the car was towed.

Police responded to a violation of an order of protection in Mendota. While present, the suspect threatened to slash all the victim’s tires.

A resident reported unauthorized charges made on her checking account at a jewelry store in New York.

Sept. 2

An individual was found passed out in a car on Cheri Lane and taken to the hospital. Use of a controlled substance was suspected.

An employee of Fun Jumps on Highway 13 reported a client who refused to return their rented equipment.

Someone spray-painted “Dakota Land” on the street and on a door of Sibley House Historic Site property on Highway 13.
