Mendota Heights PD Blotter: Ex-Girlfriend Forges Deed Transfer

July 12

A CD case was found in a mailbox on the 500 block of Winston Court.

A resident on the 500 block of Winston Court heard the garage door open, and 20 minutes later realized it was not a family member who had done so. Nothing was taken from the garage, but theft was reported from the unlocked vehicle out front where the prowler got the garage door opener.

A man selling magazines door-to-door without a permit was cited and taken to a gas station to call for a ride.

July 11

A GPS, a garage door opener and a flashlight were reported stolen from an unlocked vehicle on the 500 block of Miriam Street.

A garage door opener was reported stolen from an unlocked vehicle on the 500 block of Hiawatha Avenue.

July 10

A gas theft at in Lilydale was reported. The license plate was from a Chevrolet Monte Carlo but the suspect vehicle was a Saturn Vue.

A man contacted police to report his ex-girlfriend forged a signature and transferred the deed of a home.

A $40 gas theft was reported at Holiday Stationstore.

A man told police that his front bumper and license plate was stolen while parked at the . No other damage was reported.

When a burglar used a blowtorch to break into the back of , boxes by the door caught on fire, setting off the sprinkler alarm and causing water damage. 

July 9

Someone turned in a phone they found at Police were able to return the phone to its owner. 

July 8

A gas theft of $62.27 was reported at Holiday Stationstore. The license plates belonged to a black Chevy Malibu, but the suspect vehicle was a silver Mercedes. 

July 7

Police responded to a burglar alarm at Lilydale Senior Living.

July 6

Victims reported a man at  who threw a beer bottle at them then ran away. The suspect was arrested, refused to cooperate, and was cited with disorderly conduct.

A juvenile thought they’d try stealing gas at the on Dodd Road. They likely regreted their decision when an employee tailed them, leading to an arrest and a phone call home.

An abandoned black and yellow Magna bike was found damaged at the end of a driveway near the 500 block of Highway 110.

July 5

A juvenile on a bike collided with a vehicle on Highway 110 and was taken to the hospital. 

July 4

A drunk driver was pulled over on Highway 13 shortly after bar close. The driver’s license was already revoked. A preliminary breath test measured a blood alcohol level of .217.

Mendota Heights police officers aided in finding a stolen vehicle out of St. Paul. The vehicle and a suspect were arrested on Annapolis Street W and turned over to the SPPD.

A victim of fraud reported checks written for large amounts at local businesses.
