A driver was stopped on Interstate 35E for driving 74 mph in a 55 mph zone. The driver smelled of alcohol and admitted to drinking. A preliminary breath test measured a blood alcohol concentration of .12.

April 22

A heavily damaged vehicle was found in the police department’s parking lot shortly before 3 a.m. An intoxicated man inside the vehicle said the driver had ran away.

A vehicle was clocked driving 105 mph in a 65 mph zone on Highway 52. The driver failed field sobriety tests, and a preliminary breath test registered a blood alcohol concentration of .187

A resident on the 1000 block of Delaware reported that a vehicle in the driveway had been hit by another car.

Police responded to on a report of an out-of-control student. The student was not cooperative and tried to flee police. Crisis workers were notified and the student was brought to the hospital.
