Mendota Heights Man Dies in Friday Night Car Crash

Driver hit guardrail while exiting from Interstate 35W onto Highway 62.

Mendota Heights resident Glenn J. Stratton, 69, died in a one-vehicle crash Friday night in Minneapolis, according to the State Patrol.

His wife, Diane Ousterling-Stratton, 68, was the only passenger in the vehicle, and she survived the crash with minor injuries.

The couple’s 1998 Jaguar was heading southbound on Interstate 35W shortly before 10:30 p.m. when the driver attempted to exit onto Highway 62 and hit a guardrail, according to the report.

It is not known if alcohol was a factor in the crash. Road conditions at the time were described as "wet."
