Former Simley Student Teacher Pleads Guilty to Misdemeanor in Naked Photo Case
Jenna Anne Schultz was accused of sending a naked photo of herself to a 17-year-old male student at Simley High School.
A 26-year-old former Simley High School student teacher accused of sending naked pictures of herself to a 17-year-old student has pleaded guilty to a gross misdemeanor.
According to a press release from the Dakota County Attorney’s office, Jenna Anna Schultz, 26, of Minnetonka, pleaded guilty on Wednesday to contributing to the delinquency of a minor.
Schultz was charged May 25 with two counts of felony stalking and a count of contributing to the deliqunency of a minor after allegedly sending the boy a series of explicit messages via Facebook.

Last month, she pleaded not guilty to the charges in Dakota County District Court. A settlement conference was scheduled for Wednesday.

Dakota County Attorney James Backstrom announced that Jenna Anne Schultz, age 26 of Minnetonka, was charged May 25, 2012, pled guilty today to Contributing to the Delinquency of a Minor (a gross misdemeanor) in connection with sending a naked picture of herself to a 17-year-old male student at Simley High School in Inver Grove Heights where she was a student teacher.
Backstrom thanked the Inver Grove Heights Police Department and Independent School District 199 for their quick intervention and investigation into this troublesome situation.
Judge Mary Theisen ordered a pre-sentence investigation and psycho-sexual evaluation and set Schultz’s sentencing for February 12, [2013] at 1:30 p.m. in Hastings. She continues to be released on the bail conditions previously established by the court.
According to the criminal complaint in the case, Facebook messages from Schultz to the student became progressively more graphic and culminated with a photo of her completely naked.
In a post-arrest interview, Schultz told police she did not recall sending the student the photo or texting him. She chalked up the alleged behavior to being "really drunk."
Hennepin County Sheriff's deputies executed a search warrant on Schultz's home and vehicles on June 12.
