A rodeo bull escaped from his pen on Wednesday night and trampled hurt several people—one seriously, according to reports.

About eight people were injured, according to the Pioneer Press. One woman was airlifted to the hospital, Police Clips reported.

"The bull squared off with a deputy, who fired two shots from a sidearm before being trampled," the Pioneer Press reported. Dakota County Sheriff David Bellows told the newspaper the bull was hit, but did not say what condition it was in.
