Driver Busted after Leaving Car, Streaking at Sibley Memorial: Mendota Heights Police Report

A Mendota man was taken into custody and released after he was arrested early on the morning of Aug. 4 for indecent exposure near Sibley Memorial.

The man allegedly left his car parked near the memorial and walked naked down the road, telling police who arrived on the scene he was "streaking." 

In other news a fugitive from St. Croix County was nabbed earlier this month in Mendota Heights after police worked to track the man to a residence on Dodd Road. 

He was taken into custody without incident on Aug. 3 after a tip from the St. Croix County (WI) Sheriff's Office. 

Mendota Heights Police reported the following incidents from Aug. 1 to 14, 2013.
All arrested maintain innocence until proven guilty. Not all incidents result in charges. 

Aug. 1
Report of a suspicious person in the 700 block of Mohican Lane. Vehicle not found
Theft of mail reported from 500 block of Abbey Way. 

Aug. 3
Report of an assault on a vulnerable adult (after the fact) in the 500 block of Abbey Way. 
Fugitive taken into custody on 1600 block of Dodd Road after Mendota Heights PD received tip from St. Croix County Sheriff (WI). Man located and taken into custody without incident. 
A DWI reported on Dodd Road

Aug. 8
Mother reported missing 16-year-old she believed had gone with father, who was from Indiana back on Aug. 6. Authorities tracked down the boy and were able to arrange a pickup at a secure facility. 
A gas drive-off was reported in a 1080 block of Highway 110.

Aug. 10
Police responded to a single vehicle accident with injuries on Mendota Heights Road. Driver heading west "forgot" to stop at stop sign, and had to brake hard, dropping his scooter as he approached the sign. Scooter driver was evaluated by medics and refused transport to hospital. Father removed scooter from scene. 
A gas drive off was reported in the 965 bock of Highway 13.

Aug. 12
A hit-and-run accident was reported in the 750 block of Highway 110. No injruies or witnesses. 

Aug. 13
A resident in the 800 block of Cheri Lane reported a burglary. Several items were taken from home's garage and from vehicle inside garage. Both were unlocked.
