Deaths in Mississippi River Draw Scrutiny

This year has been remarkable so far in the number of dead bodies found in the Twin Cities' Mississippi River, the latest one last week, reports the St. Paul Pioneer Press:

"It is believed to be the 10th found in the river in the Twin Cities this year.

"There is no authoritative year-to-year body count, because each of the cities and counties along the river keeps separate records of the bodies it recovers."
