Authorities have identified a man found dead last August in the Minnesota River.

The Dakota County Sheriff's Office pulled the body of 42-year-old Jody Arthur Ronning from the river on Aug. 23. The man was discovered by some passing boaters, just under the Mendota Bridge, a major conduit into north Eagan.

There is no indication that foul play was involved. Currently, the Hennepin County Medical Examiners’ Office has classified that Ronning's death as a drowning, though toxicology results are still pending.

According to a brief obituary on Crescent Tides Funerals, Ronning was a recent resident of Minneapolis, though he was originally from Black River Falls, WI.
