Honorary Swedish Consul Dies, Funeral Monday
The funeral service for Phyllis E. Bakke will be held at Minnehaha Communion Lutheran Church.
Phyllis E. Bakke, 87, of Mendota Heights, died Tuesday, July 16, 2013, according to an obituary in the Star Tribune.
"Phyllis was a life member of the American Swedish Institute, Gammelgarden Museum and a founding member of the Swedish American Chamber of Commerce of Minneapolis," according to her obituary. She "worked for the Swedish Consulate in Minneapolis for 50 years, ending as Honorary Consul."
Her funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, July 22, at Minnehaha Communion Lutheran Church in Minneapolis. Henry W. Anderson Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.
